Public and Stakeholder Engagement

The Project will include opportunities to participate in public consultation, as well as project information and updates on progress including through this website and events.

The public are encouraged to participate in Public Consultation events which will be held at various stages throughout the project. These events are in addition to the Public Exhibition of the Scheme.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the first Public Engagement Event was held online via the Kilkee FRS website, which is now available on the home page.

The emerging options Public Participation Day was held on 18th August 2022 to discuss the emerging fluvial options.

The preferred fluvial option Public Consultation Day was held on 13th April 2023 to discuss the preferred fluvial option.

The opening public engagement event was held virtually through the release of an information video in August 2020.

The emerging options Public Participation Day was held on the 18th August 2022.

Preferred Fluvial Option Public Consultation Day

A Public Consultation Day on the Kilkee Flood Relief Scheme was held in Kilkee Community Centre on Thursday 13th April 2023 from 2pm to 8pm.

Clare County Council and the OPW, through their consultants JBA Consulting, presented the preferred fluvial option to members of the public, local businesses, and other interested parties and invited them to submit their feedback on the preferred fluvial option.
